Belleville Mini-Mil 8-Inch Coyote AR670-1 Minimalist Training Boot

A true minimalist coyote boot, the Belleville Mini-Mil is AR670-1 compliant and designed specifically for the conditioned warrior athlete currently training in minimalist athletic footwear. This men’s coyote training boot features 2mm of drop, which refers to the height of the heel in relation to the toe. In minimalist training footwear, lower heel to toe drop like that found on the Mini-Mil is associated with reduced risk of injury to the knees when running by evenly distributing impact with every footfall. This promotes a more “natural” motion and increased ground contact, similar to being barefoot.

Designed with high-mobility in mind, this training boot features an ultra lightweight construction weighing in at less than two pounds per pair. The Mini-Mil is also unlined, which further cuts down on weight due while also promoting breathability in hot-weather environments due to the absence of additional layers. Don’t let this stripped-down design fool you however. A coyote cattlehide leather upper supplemented by tear-resistant Cordura nylon and multi-stitched seams ensures that the Mini-Mil will hold up against substantial amounts of punishment.

About Mini-Mil:

If you are wearing Mini-Mil boots for the first time or have not previously trained in minimalist footwear such as Vibram FiveFingers, we encourage a very gradual transition as you will be using new muscles in the feet and lower legs. We recommend wearing these Mini-Mil boots for 1-2 hour intervals the first few weeks. Gradually increase usage as your body strengthens and adapts.
