Thorogood 1957 Series 6-inch Briar Pitstop Waterproof Steel Toe Moc Toe 90-Degree Sole American Made Men’s Work Boot – 804-4940

The Thorogood 1957 Series 804-4940 is made for workers who expect reliable protection, confident traction, and a comfortable fit from the first step. The 1957 Series pairs the classic styling you love with the craftsmanship you expect from the boot makers at Thorogood. Thorogood Boots are meticulously crafted using top-quality American leathers, ensuring both style and durability that can withstand the rigorous demands of today’s jobsites. Rich Briar Pitstop leather and vintage-inspired moc toe design look great on or off the job site, while Goodyear storm welt construction supports long-term wear and allows the boots to be resoled. In demanding conditions, the MAXWear 90° outsole provides dependable traction, oil and slip resistance while the steel safety toe protects your feet from falling and rolling objects. For the tradesman, Thorogood also added electrical hazard protection and waterproofing.

The Thorogood 1957 Series style 804-4940 is made in the U.S.A. in Thorogood’s union factories in Wisconsin. Its union-made construction reflects skilled American bootmaking and supports a durable, job-ready build.

Jobsite Use

1957 Series style 804-4940 is a 6-inch steel toe moc toe work boot built around wet-weather protection, impact protection, and jobsite traction. Its Briar Pitstop finish gives the boot a practical work-ready appearance. The design balances protection, support, and mobility for long shifts when footwear has to stay comfortable and steady from clock-in through the end of the day.

Protection

Waterproof construction helps keep feet dry through rain, mud, and other wet jobsite conditions. The steel safety toe provides a firm protective barrier against impact and compression hazards.

Comfort and Support

A polyurethane footbed provides a cushioned platform underfoot for extended wear. The 6-inch height provides ankle support while preserving the mobility needed for climbing, kneeling, and moving around the jobsite.

Durable Construction

Goodyear storm welt construction creates a durable connection between the upper and sole while helping limit moisture entry at the welt.

Workday Performance

Its combination of support, protection, and traction makes it well suited to construction.
